About

About figuresmate.

figuresmate is a small set of Australian financial calculators. It exists because useful calculators are often buried in marketing pages or rely on assumptions you cannot see. There is room for one that respects your intelligence and shows its working.

Who builds figuresmate

figuresmate is built and maintained by one person. There is no team, investor, or parent company. The site reflects one person's view of a useful financial calculator: calm, transparent, and not trying to sell you anything.

How it is funded

figuresmate is free to use and independently funded.

We do not earn affiliate revenue of any kind. We do not link to lenders, brokers, super funds, or ETFs for commission; rank products; or recommend specific financial products.

How it is kept current

Australian tax rates, Medicare thresholds, HECS brackets, and super rules change. Every 1 July, figuresmate is reviewed against current ATO and ASIC sources. Mid-year legislative changes are reviewed when announced.

Each statutory table records its source and last-reviewed date. If you spot a number that appears out of date or wrong, please get in touch.

Compliance

figuresmate operates under the ASIC Generic Calculators Instrument 2026/41, opens in a new tab, which provides licensing relief for calculators meeting specified transparency requirements. Tax and HECS calculators sit outside the financial-product advice regime but follow the same transparent approach.

figuresmate is not a financial advice service. For decisions about a particular financial product, consult an Australian Financial Services licensee.
