Who we are
This policy applies to figuresmate.fyi (referred to as ‘figuresmate’, ‘we’ and ‘us’). figuresmate is independently operated in Australia by figuresmate.
What information we collect
We collect minimal information, consistent with the Australian Privacy Principles and our principle of respecting user privacy.
- Visit analytics. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to see which pages are read and how the site performs. It records the page address, referring address, country, device type, browser, and operating system, along with page-load timings. It sets no cookies, does not fingerprint your browser, and cannot follow you across sites or sessions. We cannot identify an individual visitor from it. Separately, our host receives your IP address, as any web host must in order to deliver a page to you; it is not used to build a profile and is not combined with the analytics above.
- Calculator inputs. All numbers entered into a calculator are processed entirely within your browser. They are not sent to figuresmate, stored, or associated with you. Reloading the page resets them.
- Contact information. If you email us, we will receive your address and message so we can reply.
What we do not collect
We do not ask for names, addresses, phone numbers, dates of birth, financial account information, or identification numbers. There are no user accounts or logins.
How we use information
Visit analytics help us understand which pages are useful and need improvement. Contact emails are used to reply. We do not use this information to profile visitors, target them with marketing, or share it with marketers.
Who processes information
We do not sell, rent, or trade personal information. Limited information is processed by:
- Cloudflare for hosting and privacy-preserving analytics.
This provider receives the information required to deliver its services.
Cookies and local device storage
figuresmate sets no cookies at all, and our analytics are deliberately cookie-free. The site uses browser local storage (specifically, the key figuresmate-theme in localStorage) strictly to remember your choice between light and dark display modes across page loads and return visits. This preference resides entirely on your device and is never sent to our servers.
The only third-party script the site loads is the Cloudflare Web Analytics measurement script described above.
International data transfers
Cloudflare's hosting and analytics infrastructure operates globally. A visit may result in page-view information and an IP-derived approximate location being processed outside Australia. We rely on Cloudflare's compliance commitments for those transfers, including its certification under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework (DPF) and its reliance on Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs).
Data retention
Analytics data is retained according to Cloudflare's published periods. figuresmate does not retain calculator inputs at all.
Your rights under Australian Privacy Principles
Under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and Australian Privacy Principles, you may have rights to access or correct information we hold and to complain. Given our minimal collection, we will usually hold no individually identifiable information about a visitor.
Children's privacy
figuresmate is not directed at children under 15 and does not knowingly collect their information. Contact us if you believe a child has provided personal information.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our analytics setup changes. The current version and effective date will remain at this URL; material changes will be flagged for a reasonable period.
